Introduction
The Machines List allows users to not only view all of their machines but also view relevant machine data and information.
The Machines List provides the ability to quickly see current machine status, access detailed machine performance data in multiple time ranges, and quickly navigate to individual machine-related pages.
Note: See the Machines Page article for the functions provided in the machine Overview pages.
Accessing the Current Shift Dashboard View

Views, Ranges, Page By
View: The homepage of the Machines tab will default to the Utilization view. Each of the views will provide columns of live data. Each view will include the Machine and Current Job category. These views include:
- Utilization
- OEE
- Parts Goal
- Settings
- Custom
Range: Range allows you to select the timeframe of the machine results on the desired view. Currently, the range will be sorted by Current Shift, 24 Hours, 7 Days, 30 Days, or 52 Weeks.
Page By: The Page By will allow you to customize how many machines you can see on a specific view.
Utilization View
Quickly answer the question of how effective your machines are being utilized with this view. Access a quick overview of key utilization metrics on all of your machines. Sorting the columns allows for easy identification of machines that may not be reaching utilization goals. The columns include:
Utilization Rate: Percentage of time in the cycle
Time-In-Cycle: The amount of time a Machine is actively running a program
Total Downtime: Total time a machine has not been active/running (time not "in-cycle")
Utilization Graph: Utilization over a current time range
OEE View
Gain immediate insights into how efficient your manufacturing processes are performing across all machines with this view. Sorting the view allows for easy identification of machines that may not be reaching OEE goals. The columns include:
OEE: Percentage of planned production time that is truly productive
Performance: Compares in-cycle time to the ideal time to make a part
Availability: Compares the amount of in-cycle time to the total time
Quality: The number of good parts compared to the total parts produced
OOE: Percentage of scheduled time that is truly productive
TEEP: Percentage of total production time that is truly productive
OEE Graph: OEE over the current time range
Parts Goal View
View which machines are not meeting parts goal, and how many parts have been produced vs expected and rejected part totals from this view. Sorting the view allows for easy identification of machines that may not be reaching their parts goal. The columns include:
Parts Goal: Percentage of good parts made compared to expected parts in a time period
Total Parts: Total number of parts produced over the specified time range
Good Parts: The number of total parts that were accepted as good parts
Parts Rejected: The number of total parts that were rejected
Expected Parts: The number of parts expected based on the expected cycle time
Parts Made Graph: Parts Made over a current time range
Settings View
View details about your machine settings, connection status, and edge device details from this page. This allows for quicker troubleshooting and visibility into your machine's connection to MachineMetrics. The columns include:
Connection Status: Indicates whether MachineMetrics is currently collecting data from this machine
Make, Model, Year, Serial number: The make, model, year, and serial number of each machine
Benchmarking: Whether this Machine is included in our benchmarking program
Edge Device: The Edge Device is used to allow communication between this Machine and the cloud
Data Collection Method: The Data collection Method(s) used to transfer data from this Machine
Connection Address: The address that the Data Collection Method uses to connect to this Machine
Adapter IP: The connectivity method's IP adapter address
Adaptor Port: The connectivity method's configured adapter port
Custom View
The custom view allows users to add individual columns that is unique to the user account.
Add Columns: Select the columns you would like to show and order them. You will have various options to select from:
- Operation
- Utilization
- Parts Goal
- OEE
Select Save to save the custom columns.
Additional settings on this page include:
