The following OSP Controls support MTConnect. For all other Okuma controls, an IO Integration is required.
Before we get into the list, it is important to note that THINC is the Okuma machine operating system for the control types listed below. The THINC API is the interface layer between the backend and what you see. Because MTConnect gets all of its data from THINC, if the THINC API is too old, it will need to be updated in order for MTConnect to connect to the API. This is the case with the OSP 200 and OSP 100-II, as noted below:
Note: Please consult with your Okuma dealer if there are additional questions regarding MTConnect and your machine.
-
OSP 300
- Requires MTConnect update installed from the THINC App Store. Easy to Self Install. If MTConnect comes with the machine, it's likely an older version that has no part counter or custom variables.
-
OSP 200
- Requires both a THINC API Update and MTConnect installed from the THINC App Store.
-
OSP 100-II
- Requires both a THINC API Update and MTConnect installed from the THINC App Store. Other OSP 100 controls do not support MTConnect.
Is My Machine Compatible?
Use the Scout tool on MyOkuma.com to learn if your control is compatible. If it is not, you will need to contract your Okuma dealer as an upgrade to the controller or api might be required.
Full compatibility chart can be found here.
