Introduction
MachineMetrics has a proprietary MTConnect adapter available for Mitsubishi M7/700 series controls. All Citizens with a Mitsubishi M7/700 control support the MachineMetrics MTConnect Adapter.

Mitsubishi NCU Required Firmware Upgrades
Before configuring your control for communication with MachineMetrics, please contact your Citizen machine vendor and request that your Mitsubishi NCU firmware be updated to the latest version. This will ensure that MachineMetrics can access control data from the machine without system freezes or interruption.
The table below shows, for each family, the MINIMUM NC-MAIN version recommended on a control to avoid any compatibility issues*.

* Connecting the machine to MachineMetrics without the minimum recommended NC-MAIN firmware version may cause the machine to alarm.
To check the firmware version:
STEP 1: Press “MAINT” hardkey. Note: Hardkey buttons may vary depending on model of the machine.
STEP 2: Press “S/W LIST” softkey.
- If the firmware meets the minimum requirements, then proceed to the Control Configuration.
- If the firmware does not meet minimum requirements*, contact your local Citizen distributor to discuss the required upgrade.
*Connecting the machine to MachineMetrics without the minimum recommended NC-MAIN firmware version may cause the machine to alarm.
Control Configuration
Here's a Video overview on how to configure a Citizen M700 for communication:

Press “MAINT” hardkey.

Press “I/F DIAG” softkey.

Type in “1001//M” and hit “INPUT” softkey.

Press “PARAM” hardkey.

Press “MENU SEL” softkey once.

Press “BAS COM” softkey.

“Press PGDN” hardkey until you see “Global IP Address”.

WARNING: DO NOT ENTER IPs INTO “HMI IP” FIELDS, THIS WILL BRICK YOUR MACHINE!

Enter desired IP, SUBNET MASK, and GATEWAY IP.

Press “INPUT” Hardkey after each entry.

Reboot machine for settings to take effect.

Ping IP to test communication.
How to enable part count in single mode on Citizen M700 series controls

Press the MAINT hard key.

Press the I/F diag soft key.
-
Type 1001//M then Press INPUT.

Press the PARAM hard key.

Scroll to the right with the arrow keys until you see Menu Sel

Press the Menu Sel soft key.

Press the BIT SELECT soft key.

Select parameter 6401.
-
Change the third from the right number from 0 to 1. (Ex. 01001000 -> 01001100).

Press the INPUT hard key.

Reboot the machine.
