Connecting Bystronic Machines with OPC-UA

Enable OPC-UA on the control

You need to enable OPC-UA which is found under Modules\Administration\Advanced Settings

See below.

Opening Ports

The port 56000 on the Brake panel PC and the Server needs to be open for communication.

To configure an exception rule may need to be set to bypass the Firewall.

Steps to create a Rule for an Open 56000 port.

Go to Control Panel in the machine / server
Select System and Security
Select Windows Defender Firewall
Select Advanced Setting
Select Inbound rules
Under Actions (right side) Select New rule
Select Port for the Rule Type, Select Next
Select TCP and Enter 56000 for Specific Local Port, Select Next
Select Allow the connection, Select Next
Select Domain, Private, Public, Select Next
Enter a name example Bystronic56000TPCPort

Repeat for UDP port

Under Actions (right side) Select New rule
Select Port for the Rule Type, Select Next
Select UDP and Enter 56000 for Specific Local Port, Select Next
Select Allow the connection, Select Next
Select Domain, Private, Public, Select Next
Enter a name example Bystronic56000UDPPort

Reboot the entire machine (not just the PC)
