Introduction
At the time of this writing, Common Variable functionality is supported in versions 0.31.0.0+
This article is meant to help a user of the MachineMetrics platform collect a Common Variable from an M700 machine using the Citizen (Mitsubishi) M700 data collector. This article expects that the user has already undergone the process of adding a new machine to your account. All configuration in this article is conducted through Data Collection described in the machine settings documentation.
Configuring Common Variables
M700 citizen adapter supports gathering Common Variables as Macros in the configuration:
-
#100-#199
-
#500-#599
Internal Note: Provided macro variables that fall outside this range will be logged as a WARNING and skipped.
Provide the Common Variable to gather as a key-value pair, where the key is the name to be used as the reported data item name, and the value is the integer number of the Common Variable to gather.
Below we see an example of gathering Common Variable #510 under the key name “variant”:
Save the changes for them to take effect.
Common Variable Data Mapping
After configuring to gather a Common Variable, the new values need data mapping to be conducted in the App. For more detail on mapping data see https://support.machinemetrics.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052967034-Mapping-Data-Machine-Settings- .
Note: If you have questions about this functionality, please reach out directly to your customer success manager or contact support@machinemetrics.com.
