If integrating with a LabJack T4, you will need to locate 24VDC in your machine's electrical cabinet to power your device. The LabJack T4 receives power from a USB power supply, which transforms 24VDC to 5VDC. The USB power supply needs 24VDC from your machine's electrical cabinet.
Pictured below is the 24VDC to 5VDC USB power supply used to power the LabJack T4. It is important to connect positive (+) 24VDC to the (+) pole of the power supply, and negative (-) 0VDC to the negative pole of the power supply.
Depending on the make and model of your machine, 24VDC will be labeled differently. Locate the 24VDC power supply in your machine's electrical cabinet, and note the labels on the wires (almost always colored blue) coming off the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals. Use a multi-meter to confirm the correct voltage. Connect the USB power supply to these wires. Once the USB power supply is connected to a power source, you can plug in the T4 with a USB cable.
Pictured below are 24VDC and 0V screw terminals. Most machines have terminals like these to power auxiliary equipment. These are an ideal source of power for the USB power supply.
