HAAS machines manufactured in 2017 or newer likely are equipped with the Next Gen Control. This type of control is capable of sharing data with MachineMetrics through the machine's ethernet port. Connecting to the HAAS Next Gen control is very simple and can be accomplished in a very short amount of time. Follow the steps below to integrate your HAAS Next Gen control to MachineMetrics.
Navigate to the Next Gen Control's Network Settings page
You must enter a static IP/Subnet/Gateway on the machine so that it can communicate with the MachineMetrics Edge Device or Gateway. The Network Settings page can be found in:
Settings > Network > Wired Connection
On the "Wired Connection" page:
- Enter suitable IP, Subnet, and Gateway
- Make sure Wired Network Enable is on, and Obtain Address Automatically is off
- Save changes with F4
Settings, 143 - Miscellaneous - Machine Data Collect. Set to 4001.
This is the TCP port to use for Machine Data Collection. Set this field to 4001. meaning “enable port 4001 for machine monitoring”.
In the Add Machine form in MachineMetrics, include the port (value of Setting 143) in the machine's address. For example if Setting 143 is set to 4001, append that to the machine's address in the Machine form, like this: 192.168.1.66:4001
