If you are using a tablet that was not purchased through MachineMetrics, you will need to make sure it is either 1) brand new out of the box with no configurations completed or 2) factory reset before moving forward with the set up of the tablet. Factory reset will erase all data stored on the tablet and restore it to the factory 'out of the box' settings.
Please note that sometimes even when the tablet is brand new out of the box, an associate at the vendor could have set something up, so it is best to make sure the tablet is factory reset before provisioning.
Factory Resetting a Tablet
First, swipe down from the top of the tablet's screen, then tap on the gear icon. In the settings menu, tap the search icon and in the text bar search for Factory Data Reset.
Then, select Factory Data Reset and confirm on the following screen by selecting Reset at the bottom of the screen.
On the next screen will be a second confirmation for the factory reset, select Delete All to initiate the factory reset for the tablet.
