The Current Shift dashboard page provides an overview of the workcenters on your shop floor. Each tile of this dashboard represents one workcenter and displays information regarding its performance. These tiles are color-coded so shop workers can quickly identify workcenters that are underperforming in order to investigate and correct any problems. Any workcenter whose tile is not green indicates their performance is below their goal.
Tiles display different data depending on what state they are currently in. These states are: Production, Setup, and Unscheduled.
The following tile is in Production:
The data displayed on each tile includes the following:
- Tile Time Range - The data displayed on this tile is only the data within this displayed time range. This time range resets every time a job is started, when a job is reset, or at a shift change.
- Workcenter Name - The name of the specific workcenter (machine) represented by this tile.
- Status - An indicator and description of the current status of this workcenter and how long it has been in this status.
- Performance Ring - The performance ring is a visual indicator for the number of parts produced. The darkened portion represents the number of parts actually produced by this machine at this time while the lighter portion represents the number of parts remaining to meet the production goal for this run. The small white dot in the performance ring is the parts goal indicator.
- Parts goal indicator - The small white circle within the ring indicates the production goal for this workcenter at this point in time for this run. This makes it easy to determine how far ahead or behind a workcenter is from its goal.
- Percentage of Parts Goal Met - The percentage of parts actually produced by the workcenter compared to its production goal at this point in time for this run. The percentage of parts goal met can be replaced with OEE. Read more about OEE here.
- Parts produced this shift (or run) - The number of parts this workcenter has actually produced at this point in time for this run.
- Job Status - Indicates the job name as well as the current number of parts ahead or behind the production goal.
- Parts per Hour - This graph displays the number of parts produced each hour over the course of a run.
When a production tile is selected, there are a number of actions that can be taken.
- Reset Job Button - Brings the user to the Job Reset Page for the current job running on this workcenter. (LINK TO RESET JOB DESC?)
- Reports Button - Brings the user to the Reports page for this workcenter. (LINK TO REPORT ARTICLE)
- Timeline Button - Brings the user to the Timeline page for this workcenter. (LINK TO TIMELINE ARTICLE)
- Exit Button - Returns the tile to its original view.
- Diagnostics Button - Brings the user to the Diagnostics page for this workcenter. (LINK TO DIAGNOSTICS ARTICLE)
- Stop Job Button - Stops the current job.

This is an example of a tile in setup:
When a tile is in setup there are items that are displayed differently. All of the data in the tile still falls between the time range displayed. When in setup the status indicator circle will be yellow. While parts might be produced while the machine is in setup, the parts goal will only be affected after any expected setup time has elapsed. Finally, when the tile is selected it will display a "Start Production" button near the top of the tile rather than a "Reset Job" button.
If the workcenter was in setup status longer than the predetermined setup time when the "Start Production" button is selected, the user will be prompted to enter a reason the setup time was longer than expected.
Finally, a tile can be in unscheduled status.
An unscheduled tile represents a workcenter that does not currently have a job dispatched to it. These tiles are grey with a light grey status indicator. This workcenter may still be producing parts, but not be scheduled within our system. Its tile will still show the number of parts it has produced within the given time range. Additionally, when an unscheduled tile is selected the user can only navigate to the Reports, Timeline, and Diagnostics pages or start a new job on this workcenter.
